Job summary

You will work with histologic techniques, stains, and cell blocks, maintaining high speed and accuracy, and ensure compliance with legal and professional standards.

This role requires National Certification and active registry with ASCP or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Cytology is required.
• National Certification is required (ASCP CT or equivalent).
• Currently registered or registry eligible by the Board of Registry of the ASCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Screen slides and prepare cellular samples for examination by staining techniques.
• Correlate abnormal results with pathologic data to determine validity.
• Perform quality control and data entry into Meditech.
• Maintain and troubleshoot stains and instruments per policy.
• Assist physicians with collection procedures when necessary.
