LifeBridge Health's Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD is seeking a Cytotechnologist to join our diagnostic team, preparing, screening, and evaluating cytologic specimens to aid in disease diagnosis. You will collaborate with pathologists and participate in FNA procedures.
You will ensure results meet CAP, CLIA, OSHA quality controls, troubleshoot instrument issues, and maintain compliant records. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 2–4 years' cytology experience, and board eligibility.

As a Cytotechnologist, you'll play a vital role in our diagnostic team-helping detect disease early, supporting our pathologists, and ensuring the highest standards of laboratory quality and accuracy. What You'll Do Prepare, screen, and evaluate cytologic specimens to assist in the diagnosis of disease. Participate in fine needle aspiration (FNA) procedures and collaborate directly with pathologists.
Ensure test results meet all quality control and regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, JCAHO, OSHA). Troubleshoot and resolve clinical or instrument issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with lab and hospital policies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, cytology, or a related chemical/biological science. The degree requirement may be waived based on licensure and experience.
Experience: 2-4 years in a cytology or clinical lab environment preferred. Certification: Board registered or eligible Cytotechnologist (ASCP or equivalent). Licensure: Licensed Cytologist (LC)
