Job summary

Intermedia Group Inc. is seeking a Cytotechnologist to handle gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology in Baltimore and Westminster, MD. You will interpret specimens, finalize GYN results, and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

Requires a BS in Life Sciences/Medical Technology, 1–3 years of cytology experience, and Cytologist (ASCP) certification. Knowledge of Cerner is preferred and ongoing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of cytology or related clinical laboratory experience.
• Cytologist certification (ASCP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Issue final diagnoses for negative GYN cytology; submit non-GYN results for pathologist review.
• Verify specimen acceptability and patient identification throughout processing stages.
• Maintain QC, proficiency testing, and CLIA/DHMH compliance documentation.
• Assist with FNA procedures—prepare and stain slides for evaluation.
• Input test requests and results into Cerner with confidentiality and data integrity.
• Proactively expand knowledge and participate in continuing education.
• Communicate effectively with pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Salary:$71,094 to $106,641

RESPONSIBILITIES:
