Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Pittsburgh (PA) is seeking a Cytoprep Technician III to support Cytology prep operations on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule from 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The role involves accessioning, processing Non-Gyn/Surepath specimens, staining workflows, and problem-solving in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent; three years of Anatomic Pathology experience is preferred and licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 3 years Anatomic Pathology experience preferred.
• State licensure may be required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Accession and process Non-Gyn and Surepath specimens for evaluation.
• Run stainers, change reagents, and coverslipping.
• Prepare specimens for CT/NG testing.
• Render a gross description of all Non-Gyn specimens.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Follow safety policies and maintain quality logs.
• Train new Cytoprep techs in techniques.
• Dispose of biohazard waste properly.
• Collaborate with other departments to solve problems.
