Job summary

Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a Pathology Technician to support Cytology and Clinical Laboratory duties. You will assist with specimen processing, accessioning, slide preparation, and HPV testing while supporting technologists and pathologists.

The role is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, day shift, with no weekends or on-call. A Bachelor’s degree in biology and one year of lab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field required.
• One year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cytology fine needle aspirate collection, accessioning and processing.
• Prepare and accession slides and blocks for non-gynecological fluids.
• Accession and process Thinprep PAP slides; label and send cases for HPV testing.
• Perform staining of slides and quality control processes as required.
• Demonstrate skill in use of equipment relative to position.
