Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a part-time Histology Support Technician to assist the Mohs surgeon and the Histology Technologist in the lab. The role is mornings, 15-20 hours per week, with Tuesdays through Thursdays and occasional Mondays or Fridays.

You will prepare tissue sections, embed, stain, and mount slides, track results, maintain instruments, and ensure safety and quality standards in the lab.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory or Biological Sciences required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sections of tissue specimens for routine and special examinations.
• Embed, stain, and mount samples to make tissue slides for diagnosis.
• Enter and track result information and generate result reports.
• Maintain and repair lab instruments.
• Sterilize work area and stocks; ensure safety, QC and QA standards.
