Sentara Health is hiring a Laboratory Support Technician to join the Anatomic Pathology Lab at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA. This full-time, day-shift role (0700–1530, Monday–Friday) involves specimen preparation for analysis by technical staff and routine instrument maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology; no licensure is required. Cytology collection assistance is also part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology (required).
• No certification or licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens per discipline operating procedure for result/interpretation by technical staff.
• Perform instrument maintenance and inventory functions per operating procedures.
• Assist in cytology collection procedures.
