Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of applicable experience.
• Minimum 16 college science units and Algebra.
• Knowledge of medical computer software systems.

Responsibilities

• Process and sort multiple specimens; stains cytology samples.
• Prepare direct smears, cytospins, cell blocks and other specimens.
• Assist surgeons and physicians with fine needle aspiration when rapid evaluation is not required.
• Assist with GI interventional procedures and Autocyte prep system management.
• Maintain equipment, quality control, inventory, data entry, and provide results to clinicians.
