You will plan, coordinate, and staff the section, supervise cytology duties including ThinPrep screening, FNA, and related preparations, and ensure timely microscopic interpretation with pathologist group involvement. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, accuracy in data entry in Misys/CoPath, and leadership to maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• Regulatory knowledge: OSHA, CLIA, CAP, JCAHO compliance.
• Cytology supervision and leadership.
• Clinical cytology procedures: ThinPrep, PAP, FNA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all functions of the Cytology Section.
• Plan, coordinate, and staff the Cytology unit.
• Perform NON-GYN and GYN screening and FNA procedures.
• Enter cytology findings in LIS and communicate with pathologists.
• Maintain quality control and HIPAA compliance.
