Job summary

Unified Women’s Healthcare is seeking a Cytology Supervisor to oversee a busy GYN Cytology Department, ensuring accurate results and efficient workflow. You will supervise Cytology Technologists and Cytologists, coordinate testing, and ensure CAP readiness across the lab while maintaining QA/QC standards.

The role requires ASCP Cytology certification and at least 3 years of cytology experience, with prior supervision preferred.

Qualifications

• ASCP Cytology/Cytotechnologist certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time cytology experience within the preceding 10 years.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a high-volume GYN Cytology Department analyzing ThinPrep specimens with updated equipment.
• Day-to-day supervision of cytology lab operation and personnel.
• Be accessible to provide consultation to resolve technical problems.
• Record slide interpretation results for each case examined or reviewed.
• Record total slides examined and hours spent in 24-hour periods.
• Prepare for CAP and other inspections.
• Participate in other projects and duties as assigned.
• Attend staff meetings and applicable training.
