Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks a Cytology Supervisor in Baltimore, MD, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role oversees the cytology laboratory, manages staff, and ensures turnaround times and quality control across gynecologic and non-gynecologic testing.

Requirements include at least 5 years in a cytology lab with leadership experience. Compensation includes a pay range of $88,100 - $158,500 annually and eligibility for annual bonus, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a cytology laboratory, including leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the cytology laboratory and supervision of the cytotechnology staff, including monitoring and maintaining turn-around-time and pending.
• Supervises various personnel functions including hiring, training, competency assessments, performance appraisals, vacation schedules and overtime.
• Collaborate with Human Resources in the hiring process for cytotechnologists.
• Coordinate and document orientation/training process for newly hired cytotechnologists, including 6-month competency assessments.
• Maintain attendance and timekeeping records for cyttechnology staff.
• Enhance employee relations by facilitating effective communication.
• Evaluate and document employee performance through defined measurements/metrics. Coach and counsel employees, providing feedback or corrective action as needed.
• Write annual performance reviews and perform annual competency assessments.
• Oversee program for follow-up of abnormal cytology cases.
• Coordinate cytology/histology correlation process.
