Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Baltimore is seeking a Cytology Supervisor to lead the cytology laboratory and supervise the cytotechnologist staff, ensuring on-time reporting, QA compliance, and efficient workflows.

The role requires ASCP CT certification, state licensure, and training in liquid-based cytology, with a salary range of $88,100 to $158,500 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. The candidate will also drive continuous improvement and staff development.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a cytology laboratory, including leadership roles.
• 4 years of experience are required for supervisory coverage in a New York State licensed laboratory.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods.
• Meet CLIA requirements for cytotechnologist (CFR 493.1483) and cytotechnology general supervisor (CFR 493.1469).
• ASCP certified as CT (ASCP) is required.
• Current state licensure, if applicable is required.
• Liquid-based cytology training/certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the cytology laboratory and supervision of the staff.
• Monitor turn-around-time and pending specimens; manage scheduling and training.
• Collaborate with Human Resources in the hiring process for cytotechnologists.
• Coordinate orientation/training with competency assessments.
• Maintain attendance and timekeeping records; oversee performance evaluations.
