Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Cytogenetics Technologist for the Cytogenetics (CG) department at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center-East Bank. The role involves 8‑hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with every 3rd weekend rotations and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in chemistry or biological sciences required.
• Experience in tissue culture and chromosomal analysis highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follows guidelines to obtain specimens and prioritize work.
• Operates lab instruments and information systems per SOP.
• Communicates lab results accurately and promptly and maintains quality assurance.
