Job summary

Fairview has a full-time Cytogenetics Technologist role at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-East Bank. You’ll join a team performing GBAND, Microarray and FISH analyses with 6:30–9:30 start options and a Monday–Friday schedule with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.

The department emphasizes high-quality patient care and offers a sign-on bonus up to $5,500 prorated by FTE. Minimum qualifications include cytogenetics training and strong laboratory skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in a related lab field with practicum or equivalent.
• Eligibility for cytogenetics certification within required timeframe.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform major cytogenetics work including GBAND, Microarray, and/or FISH testing.
• Operate lab instrumentation and adhere to quality programs.
• Prioritize specimens and communicate results to clinicians.
