Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Lab Assistant for our RTP, North Carolina site. The role supports sample handling, preparation, data entry, and routine maintenance in a fast-paced clinical laboratory.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 3 months of specimen processing or lab experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential as is the ability to work independently when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ months specimen processing or medical/lab experience preferred.
• Basic computer data entry and record-keeping skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is functioning and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Complete logs and administrative duties as requested.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards.
