Job summary

Armed Services YMCA Fort Campbell is seeking a Substitute for the CYP Kids Program to assist teachers and facilitators in providing engaging early childhood activities. This role supports Pre-K and Toddlers, supervises children, and helps create a safe learning environment on a flexible, as-needed schedule.

The position requires 18+, a high school diploma, and duties include classroom assistance, record-keeping, and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma
  • Six credits in early childhood education (ECE) or early childhood development (ECD) and six months’ teaching experience OR three credits in ECE/ECD and one year of teaching experience OR holding CCP or CDA with one year of teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist Pre-K, Toddlers, Children’s Waiting Room, or Operation Hero facilitator to provide learning experiences
  • Supervise students in school-related settings
  • Monitor and evaluate student outcomes and maintain records
  • Communicate with students, parents, staff and community
  • Follow required procedures and practices and ensure safety and care of equipment and facilities
