Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Cylinder Operator I in Kapolei, HI. The role involves moving industrial gas cylinders and loading/unloading from delivery trucks, using forklifts and other handling equipment to move cylinders to storage and filling areas.

The position offers union pay of $28.56/hour with full family benefits, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for overtime. A high school diploma is preferred, with additional technical certifications valued.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience required or preferred certification.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work (pushing/pulling 125 lbs or more).
• Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Move industrial gas cylinders manually or with material handling equipment.
• Safely operate forklift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, chain hoist to load/unload cylinders.
• Transfer cylinders within the facility using a forklift.
• Perform cylinder maintenance such as valving, de-valving, and shot blasting.
• Perform cylinder cleaning, painting and maintenance as needed.
• Identify and sort cylinders for refilling and handling.
• Report safety issues or equipment defects to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and orderly plant area.
