Job summary

Airgas in Kapolei, HI is hiring a Cylinder Operator I (Union) to move and load industrial gas cylinders safely. You will operate forklifts and hand trucks, transfer cylinders within the plant, and assist with valve maintenance and cleaning as needed.

This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package, a Monday–Friday morning shift, and a competitive hourly pay of $28.56, with eligibility for company 401(k) match and paid time off after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift operating experience is necessary; certification preferred.
• Able to perform heavy physical work - routinely pushing pulling more than 125 lbs with prolonged standing.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime to meet operational deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, chain hoist, etc. to load/unload cylinders.
• Load cylinders onto vehicles manually or with equipment as needed.
• Transfer plant cylinders to different areas within the facility using a forklift.
• Perform cylinder maintenance such as valving, de-valving, and shot blasting; clean and paint cylinders.
• Identify and sort cylinders for refilling and handling; report issues to supervisor.
• Complete load sheets and maintain a clean, safe plant and work area.
