Qualifications

• Prior forklift operating experience is necessary, certification preferred.
• Able to perform heavy physical work - routinely pushing pulling more than 125 lbs with prolonged standing.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime to meet operational deadlines.
• Pre-employment and random drug testing applies.

Responsibilities

• Move industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant and load/unload cylinders from delivery trucks.
• Safely operate forklift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, chain hoist, etc. to load/unload cylinders to filling and storage areas.
• May load cylinders onto vehicles manually or with equipment.
• Transfer cylinders within the facility using a forklift.
• Perform cylinder maintenance such as valving, de-valving, and shot blasting.
• Perform cylinder cleaning, painting and maintenance as needed.
• Identify and sort cylinders for refilling and handling.
• Notify foreman if truck loading duties cannot be accomplished.
• Replace pallet straps as necessary.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures and attend safety meetings.
