Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Production Operator I (Loader/Sorter) in Grand Prairie, TX for the 1st shift. You will load and unload high‑pressure cylinders, prepare outbound shipments, and organize cylinders to optimize space while following safety protocols and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, inspecting pallets, coordinating gas cylinders on pallets, and reading relevant documentation. Candidates must lift heavy loads and work safely in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform heavy work - lifts 25-75 lbs, occasionally 76+ lbs.
• U.S. employment authorization; no visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documentation.
• Must be able to drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cylinders onto/off trucks following safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare outbound shipments for delivery, verify inventory, inspect straps, report daily status.
• Cylinder handling and organization; sort cylinders by size and gas groups.
• Coordinate gases and cylinder sizes on pallets to optimize load size.
• Maintain safety by understanding hazards, reading cylinder labels, color-coding.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Safely perform equipment operation and general warehouse tasks.
