Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Production Operator 5 in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves forklift operation, cylinder filling, and routine maintenance tasks within a manufacturing/ filling environment.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with duties spanning from inspections to record-keeping and customer assistance. Applicants should have at least 6 months of industry experience, DOT cylinder filling experience, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months industry experience.
• At least 6 months DOT cylinder filling experience.
• Able to lift 25–75 lbs regularly, up to 76 lbs.
• Able to stand up to 8 hours with frequent bending and reaching.
• Able to read and understand SDS and other written communications.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to deliver pallets of cylinders around the plant.
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm.
• Perform pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
• Maintain cylinders; remove for repair when needed.
• Inspect pumping apparatus and gauges and monitoring devices.
• Fill cylinders to proper pressure or weight.
• Maintain accurate filling records and follow procedures to comply with regulations.
• Report any accidents or injuries to management.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and inventory tasks.
• Assist customers as needed and keep areas orderly.
