Job summary

Best Metal Products Co. Inc in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring for an Assembly role to assemble and test cylinders using blueprints and work instructions. You will read drawings, operate presses, and ensure parts meet quality standards.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years in manufacturing. Be able to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, and work with a team in a production environment. Full-time, in-person employment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, follow routers, and job paperwork.
• Use simple math for basic calculations and measure with tape measures, calipers and micrometers.
• Familiar with quality control principles and machines used in assembly.
• Must be able to perform basic set-ups on listed machines and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Position parts according to blue prints and job cards.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Operate drill presses/punch presses/riveting machines to assist assembly.
• Verify finished cylinders are defect-free and test for proper functioning.
• Keep production records and maintain clean, safe work area.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand through shift.
• All production workers must be available in all production areas.
