Job summary

Equinox seeks cycling instructors for our Washington DC locations. The role includes completing the Equinox Cycle Pro program or starting teaching after a brief mentorship, delivering the Equinox Experience in every class, and maintaining safety and class flow throughout sessions.

The position emphasizes a current cycling certification, CPR/AED certification, and knowledge of anatomy and ACSM guidelines. Competitive pay is provided per class, with additional perks for team members.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current cycling certification (Schwinn or Stages indoor cycling certifications highly recommended).
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and ACSM guidelines is preferred.
• Eagerness to learn and pursue professional development.
• Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience in each class.
• Adhere to class descriptions and adjust intensity for participants when needed.
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout the class duration.
• Ensure classes start and end on time.
• Assist members with bike setup and technical support.
• Teach classes regularly and minimize subbing.
• Coordinate with Group Fitness Manager on feedback, equipment, and scheduling.
