Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services in San Diego, CA seeks a Cycle Fill Technician to ensure accurate and timely preparation of medication cycles. You will label orders, maintain inventory, and work with pharmacists to resolve discrepancies, ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill and label medication orders according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels to ensure adequate supply for cycle fills.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to resolve discrepancies and ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain detailed records of medication fills and inventory usage for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency of cycle fill operations.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and company standards regarding medication handling and storage.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff members in the cycle fill process.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy practices and regulations.
