Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s Louisville Assembly Plant seeks an Inventory Control Lead to supervise cycle-count operations, develop schedules, and drive accuracy across the Production Inventory Management System. You will analyze discrepancies, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support audits to minimize obsolescence while ensuring material availability for model-year builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 3+ years in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management.
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory variance investigations.
• Familiarity with lean improvement methodologies and audit/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and schedule cycle count checkers to meet targets in the Production Inventory Management System.
• Develop and maintain cycle count schedules based on ABC classification and risk.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies and implement corrective action.
• Reconcile physical counts with WMS/ERP and adjust records after approval.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve variances and improve processes.
• Track KPIs like inventory accuracy, count completion, and shrinkage.
• Lead or support annual/periodic physical inventory audits.
• Ensure compliance with system, policies, safety standards, and audits.
• Identify process improvements to reduce errors and increase counting efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and generate inventory reports for leadership.
• Manage obsolescence risks and ensure material availability for model-year builds.
