Job summary

Digital Guru is seeking a cybersecurity professional to monitor networks for security issues, install and maintain security software, and document breaches. The role emphasizes preventing cyberattacks and protecting data for clients and their families.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with penetration testing, firewalls, SIEM, and IDPS, plus familiarity with Duo MFA and Office 365. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Support Technician or similar role.
• Experience with network penetration testing techniques.
• Working knowledge of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
• Experience with multi-factor authentication tools (e.g., Duo).
• Cyber incident response experience and professional certs a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks for security issues and breaches.
• Investigate and document security incidents and breaches.
• Install security measures and protect information infrastructure.
• Test software, firmware, and firewalls to keep them current.
• Develop security standards and best practices.
• Train associates on network and data security procedures.
• Respond to security breaches and run vulnerability diagnostics.
• Prepare reports on audit findings and remediation strategies.
• Recommend modifications in legal, technical, and regulatory areas affecting IT security.
