Department Overview

Motorola Solutions Cybersecurity Services (MSI) seeks to hire a highly motivated individual with a passion for cybersecurity sales. Leveraging MSI's brand and commanding market share in the public safety vertical, this individual will represent the MSI Cybersecurity business line, which includes advisory and managed security services (SOC).

Job Description

This role will focus on driving new logos/ARR across public safety agencies and providing renewal support to expand our cybersecurity footprint within the current customer base across the entire Northeast and Southeast regions.

Responsibilities
  1. Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding the Motorola Solutions business model.
  2. Work with the customer using the necessary sales tools to develop a robust strategy to become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners.
  3. Grow and expand Motorola Solutions' market presence.
  4. Learn, develop, and clearly articulate account-specific strategies for all Motorola Solutions offerings.
  5. Develop and enhance strong customer relationships across multiple levels and functions.
  6. Allocate appropriate resources and collaborate with internal product groups and external partners to meet the needs of key accounts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of software sales experience OR 5+ years of software sales experience OR public safety sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, cloud, and SaaS technologies and competitive offerings.
  • Fundamental understanding of technical security solutions addressing customer risk exposure, including firewall, email and web security, EDR, EPP, NAC, MDM, IAM, MFA, SSO, CASB, PAM, visibility and analytics, SIEM, Zero Trust, SOAR, container and cloud security, IoT/ICS/OT security, DevSecOps, XDR.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and consultative sales techniques.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and systematic approach to resolution.
  • Accurate forecasting and maintaining SFDC hygiene.
  • Ability to estimate and manage tasks within budgets and milestones.

Target Base Salary Range: $67,100 - $134,700 USD.

Pay varies based on experience and skills. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
