Department Overview

Motorola Solutions Cybersecurity Services (MSI) seeks to hire a highly motivated individual with a passion for cybersecurity sales. Leveraging MSI's brand and commanding market share in the public safety vertical, this individual will represent the MSI Cybersecurity business line, which includes advisory, managed security services (SOC).

Job Description

This role will focus on driving new logos/ARR across public safety agencies and providing renewal support to expand our cybersecurity footprint within the current customer base across the entire Northeast and Southeast regions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding the Motorola Solutions business model.
  2. Work with the customer using the necessary sales tools to develop a robust strategy to become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners.
  3. Grow and expand Motorola Solutions' market presence.
  4. Learn, develop, and be capable of clearly articulating account-specific strategies for all Motorola Solutions offerings.
  5. Develop and enhance strong customer relationships across multiple levels and functions.
  6. Allocate appropriate resources and obtain full collaboration of internal product groups and external partners as necessary to meet the needs of key accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of software sales experience OR 5+ years of software sales experience OR public safety sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, cloud, and SaaS technologies and competitive offerings in the marketplace.
  • Fundamental understanding of technical security solutions and how they address customer risk exposure and use cases, including but not limited to firewalls, email and web security, EDR, EPP, NAC, MDM, IAM, MFA, SSO, CASB, PAM, Visibility and Analytics, SIEM, Zero Trust, SOAR, container and cloud security, IoT/ICS/OT security solutions, DevSecOps, XDR.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and systematic approach to resolution.
  • Accurate forecasting and maintaining SFDC hygiene.
  • Ability to estimate and manage tasks and deliverables to budget and milestones.

Target Base Salary Range: $67,100 - $134,700 USD

We promote pay transparency and equity; actual offers depend on individual skills and experience.
