Bluestaq invites early-career cybersecurity talent to join an 11.5-week residency program, delivering real security work under mentor guidance. You’ll tackle hardening, vulnerability remediation, SIEM tasks, and incident response for systems used by U.S. Space Force customers.

Successful residents may convert to full-time Associate Cybersecurity Engineers, contingent on performance and business needs. The program runs January 11–March 31, 2027, with relocation support and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Early-career professionals or students graduating by Dec 31, 2026 seeking full-time engineering roles.
• Experience or coursework in security fundamentals, Linux, networking, and cloud concepts is valued.
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, or DISA STIGs is a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Hardening systems using DISA STIGs and industry best practices.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across environments.
• Build and tune SIEM tooling; analyze logs for security events.
• Assist in incident response and recovery activities.
• Prepare RMF/ATO documentation and participate in security reviews.
• Maintain AWS cloud infrastructure security and patch management.
• Assist with access control, audits, and compliance efforts.
