Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Manager, Cybersecurity Program Operations to lead a team of PM professionals and oversee operational functions of Cybersecurity programs.

You will drive portfolio governance, budgeting, vendor management, and executive reporting while building strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization. The role requires experience leading complex programs, strategic planning, and the ability to translate technical details into executive-ready communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing organizational budgets, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and financial planning activities.
• Experience leading a PMO, portfolio management office, business operations function, or similar governance organization.
• Understanding of information security and the relationship between threat, vulnerability, and information value in risk management.
• Leadership experience with analytical skills and relationship management in project management and security programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio management activities for Deputy CISO level organizations, including investment prioritization, resource planning, executive reporting, and strategic planning processes.
• Develop and maintain visibility into the Cybersecurity portfolio, including project status, resource allocation, budget performance, risks, and business outcomes.
• Partner with Cybersecurity leaders to support strategic planning, annual operating plans, investment prioritization, and execution tracking.
• Evaluating and providing guidance during planning stages of organizational programs; develop strategies to align projects with goals.
• Partner with Cybersecurity leaders to evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and ensure investments align with priorities and outcomes.
• Hiring, development and management of project and program managers, including internal staff and external consultants.
• Coaching Cyber teams on disciplined project management and roles.
• Lead and develop a team of 5 Caterpillar and external consultants responsible for portfolio governance and financial management.
