You will guide security practices across the division’s software portfolio, collaborate with product, DevOps and central cybersecurity teams, and drive measurable risk reduction while balancing delivery speed and business priorities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and deliver secure software.
• Strong understanding of security best practices across SDLC and delivery pipelines.
• Experience partnering with product, DevOps, QA and cybersecurity teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, coach and develop an engineering team.
• Set clear goals, manage performance and develop security champions across delivery teams.
• Own the division’s application security improvement roadmap with central cybersecurity.
• Translate business needs into prioritized security initiatives and plans.
• Manage team capacity, budgets, tools and supplier relationships.
• Review technical standards and drive continuous improvement in engineering quality.
• Embed security-by-design, threat modeling, secure code reviews, and security testing into SDLC.
• Guide secure handling of secrets, cloud configurations and third-party dependencies.
• Establish documented security release gates using enterprise processes.
• Ensure API and endpoint authentication and access-control reviews before code moves through environments.
• Accelerate adoption of shared security tools and preventive controls in CI/CD.
• Apply automation and AI-assisted scanning with oversight and accountability.
• Lead vulnerability triage with security experts and assign remediation owners.
