Job summary

Magnus Management Group LLC seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to oversee cybersecurity programs for classified and unclassified environments. The role includes conducting compliance reviews, implementing policies, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements to strengthen posture.

The position requires knowledge of federal cybersecurity laws and the ability to train personnel and report findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant field with required experience
• At least one year of specialized cybersecurity experience at/near GS-12 level
• Knowledge of Federal cybersecurity laws, standards, directives (DOE/NNSA/DoD/IC)
• Strong risk management, security controls, vulnerability identification
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present to senior leadership
• Ability to work independently in a high-visibility mission environment

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and management of classified and unclassified cybersecurity programs
• Ensure activities comply with DOE/NNSA and Federal requirements
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and long-range plans
• Interpret and apply national cybersecurity standards and directives
• Advise and train personnel on cybersecurity policies and secure practices
• Lead cybersecurity compliance reviews and security surveys at sites and facilities
• Identify vulnerabilities and cybersecurity risks and document findings
• Prepare formal reports with findings and corrective actions
• Lead or support cybersecurity and IT process-improvement initiatives
• Provide cybersecurity input to software development or IT enhancements
• Maintain cybersecurity program documentation and audit-ready records
• Prepare weekly status reports on activities and risks
