Job summary

The City of Leesburg is seeking a Security Analyst to manage and monitor information security policies, work with the Systems Administrator, and protect the City’s infrastructure.

The role involves coordinating security efforts with Public Safety and IT staff, overseeing penetration testing, reporting, and ensuring governance compliance with standards such as NIST CSF and CIS Controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 4 years of experience.
• Experience administering firewalls and intrusion prevention/detection systems.
• Knowledge of advanced networking theory and security.
• Florida driver license required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Experience with governance standards (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, FBI/CJIS, NERC).

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor information security policies and procedures.
• Oversee penetration testing and remediation.
• Prepare documentation and training for users.
• Coordinate cyber security awareness program.
• Investigate cyber incidents within the network.
• Ensure compliance with copyright and licensing laws.
