Job summary

The City of Englewood seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to protect critical systems, data, and water infrastructure. You will work with IT teams and city leadership to implement security measures, monitor for vulnerabilities, and support incident response to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computers Science, Business or related field.
• 5 years progressive technical experience in IT, including at least 3 years in information security, cybersecurity, or a compliance-related field.
• CJIS Certification, CompTIA Security+, CySA+ or Pentest+, CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates complex information and metrics to leadership.
• Collaborates with IT and business teams to support cybersecurity, compliance, and accessibility initiatives.
• Leads risk assessments and stays informed about threats and technologies to strengthen security programs.
• Designs and implements cybersecurity systems and tools to meet changing needs.
• Participates in incident response activities and documents cybersecurity systems and procedures.
