Job summary

The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma is seeking an IT & Security Specialist to support, administer, and secure the tribe's technology infrastructure across locations. You will troubleshoot complex issues, manage servers and networks, and implement cybersecurity measures including MFA and access control.

Responsibilities include system maintenance, project participation, and ensuring confidentiality of tribal information while delivering excellent service to staff and departments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity or 3+ years of experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining and supporting computer systems and networks.
• Experience administering enterprise tech: user accounts, permissions, backups, security controls.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Tribal facilities.
• Ability to pass background investigations and access to restricted tribal information.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and guidance on IT and cybersecurity issues.
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, virtual environments, and network infrastructure.
• Install and support hardware, software, OS, and endpoint management.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication per policies and security needs.
• Implement cybersecurity initiatives including MFA, endpoint security, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain and support switches, firewalls, wireless, VPNs, and related equipment.
• Assist with camera and access control system deployment and maintenance.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and propose improvements for reliability and security.
• Perform updates, patches, backups, and recovery procedures for critical systems.
• Participate in IT projects: planning, deployment, testing, and documentation.
• Evaluate solutions and document configurations, inventories, and procedures.
