Sage Bionetworks is seeking an Associate Director of Cybersecurity & IT to lead our cybersecurity program and enterprise IT function. This leadership role will set strategy, build security controls, and drive secure technology services for a research‑driven nonprofit.

You will lead teams across security engineering, operations, and IT services while working with compliance and governance teams to meet federal requirements and scale capabilities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading teams implementing and operating security controls in production environments.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, FISMA/RMF, and FedRAMP.

Responsabilités

• Set and execute cybersecurity strategy and roadmap with risk-based priorities.
• Design, implement, and improve technical and operational security controls.
• Oversee security operations: monitoring, detection, vulnerability management, incident response.
• Partner with product/engineering to integrate security into platforms and pipelines.
• Author security standards and document evidence of control effectiveness.
• Lead IT operations including identity, access management, endpoint management, and SaaS administration.
