Job summary

Bowhead seeks a GXVM System Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support its customer in Crane, IN. The ISSE will provide direct support on-site at NSWC Crane and travel regularly to SPHQ or Field Activities, delivering cybersecurity architecture and lifecycle support for SSP programs.

The role requires 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, a BS in a related field, and certifications such as Security+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent.
• Five+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
• OS/CE certifications for Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Proficiency in RHEL and ability to communicate with leadership in American English.
• U.S. citizenship required for clearance; willing to travel 40%+.

Responsibilities

• Embed cybersecurity requirements in SSP system designs for acquisition, development, test, and sustainment.
• Analyze requirements, design, develop, implement, and integrate cybersecurity architectures.
• Evaluate design alternatives for mission risk related to cybersecurity posture.
• Develop and apply pilot-project requirements for large-scale efforts.
• Support Program Office Technical Lead with issue identification and actions.
• Interact with customers via teleconferences and on-site meetings.
• Coordinate with SSP stakeholders through assessments and SME input.
• Develop technical presentations and provide content comments.
• Create System Security Plans detailing implemented controls.
• Collaborate with SSP programs to develop lifecycle plans.
• Evaluate deliverables and presentations from contractors.
