Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a GXVM System Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the NSWC Crane program from Crane, IN. The ISSE will work onsite with the Program Office Technical Lead and coordinate with SSP programs, traveling as required.

Responsibilities include embedding cybersecurity requirements in designs, developing system security plans, and evaluating deliverables, with emphasis on risk reduction and cyber resiliency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Proficient in Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • US citizen eligible for clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Embed cybersecurity requirements into SSP system designs across acquisition, development, test and sustainment.
  • Develop System Security Plans detailing implemented controls.
  • Coordinate with SSP program offices and contractors for assessments and proposals.
  • Produce technical presentations and provide content comments.
  • Travel 40% or more as required.
