Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Preferred knowledge: Cybersecurity principles, Windows OS, identity and access management, vulnerability management, phishing/malware/ransomware awareness.
• Preferred skills: analytical thinking, communication, detail orientation, collaboration, MS Office proficiency.
• Preferred certifications (not required): CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals (SC-900, AZ-900, MS-900).
• Personal characteristics: curiosity, integrity, professionalism, initiative.

Responsibilities

• Security Operations Support: monitor security alerts, document incidents, review notifications, and maintain runbooks.
• Vulnerability and Exposure Management: collect/analyze vulnerability data, track remediation, support reporting.
• Identity and Access Management: assist with access reviews, entitlement reviews, and security validation checks.
• Security Awareness and Training: support phishing campaigns, training tracking, and awareness materials.
• Risk and Governance: assist with policy updates, audit prep, and tracking security action items.
• Project Support: participate in security/infrastructure projects, document meeting notes and status.
