Job summary

National Gypsum Company in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an IT Intern to join the IT Operations team. The role offers hands-on exposure to service desk operations, networking, and cybersecurity, with mentorship from seasoned IT professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 environments.
• Interest in networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls) and/or cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

• Support cybersecurity initiatives such as vulnerability assessments, endpoint protection, and patch management.
• Document technical processes and create user guides for recurring issues and resolutions.

• Participate in incident response activities under supervision, including root cause analysis and preventive action planning.

National Gypsum is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our IT Operations team. This internship provides a hands‑on opportunity to gain experience across multiple areas of IT, including service desk operations, network communications, and cybersecurity. The intern will work closely with IT professionals to support day‑to‑day operations, troubleshoot issues, and assist with technology projects that keep our business running smoothly.
