Job summary

Google is seeking a cybersecurity intern to join our security program in the United States. This internship targets penultimate-year students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields. English proficiency is required for collaboration across teams.

As an intern, you will learn from incident responders, contribute to defense-forward programs, and gain hands-on experience with security controls, threat intelligence, and defensive technologies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Info Security, or related field.
• Experience with cybersecurity fundamentals, network protocols, or incident response environments.
• Experience with programming or scripting in Python, C/C++, Go, Bash, or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on building or maturing cybersecurity programs.
• Evaluate client needs, design a solution, and communicate the value of complex topics.
• Implement or assess existing security controls.
• Interface with clients to address concerns and close issues.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and teams to drive security resolutions.
• Engage with Google security practices and tools.
