Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Instructor I for the Career Accelerator program in the United States. You will deliver hands-on, lab-first instruction in cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, and ethical hacking, guiding learners toward industry-recognized certifications.

The role emphasizes remote teaching to a national cohort, with a focus on practical labs, real-world scenarios, and thorough feedback to ensure certification readiness and successful graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience also considered.
• 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Current industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking.
• Prepare learners for certifications (e.g., Security+ SY0-701, CISSP) and connect concepts to practice.
• Manage learner progress from foundational to advanced, providing timely feedback and coaching.
• Mentor cybersecurity projects from scoping to employer-ready demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum, labs, assessments, and certification alignment while staying current on threats and practices.
• Collaborate with instructional staff to improve labs and learner outcomes.
