Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director to lead the BTI group, delivering must-have cybersecurity insights and strategic guidance to global clients. You will engage executives, develop thought leadership, and shape research agendas, while mentoring junior analysts and driving client value across in-person and virtual settings.

You will synthesize market trends, collaborate with peers, and translate complex cyber risks into actionable business strategies for clients and Gartner leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
• Proven cybersecurity leadership with executive-level risk management.
• Deep expertise in tech leadership and cybersecurity programs.
• Applied AI judgment across lifecycle and governance.
• Regulatory & framework fluency in global standards.
• Broad cybersecurity market literacy and vendor mapping.
• Executive presence and ability to engage with senior leaders.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged 'must-have insights' content.
• Develop new insights through thought leadership and actionable client approaches.
• Analyze root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to drive strategy.
• Establish Insights positions across a team of analysts.
• Provide provocative, independent insights to Gartner leadership.
• Research, analyze and predict market trends for clients and vendors.
• Offer clients actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
• Create and deliver high value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Provide sales support as voice of the market to grow client engagement.
• Review content for quality and credibility; mentor junior team members.
• Engage clients regularly with Gartner insights; collaborate across teams.
