Qualifications

• Working on a BS or BA degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
• Working knowledge of security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls, OWASP) a plus.
• Basic understanding of Linux and Windows system security.
• Familiarity with common attack vectors and defensive security practices.
• High-level understanding of security lifecycle and incident response.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in security status meetings and provide reports to Security Managers.
• Work with Security Architects to develop and implement security solutions.
• Monitor security systems and analyze security events, logs, and alerts.
• Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
• Document security incidents, findings, and remediation procedures.
• Work with IT teams to deploy security controls and monitor system configurations.
• Support security compliance initiatives and audit processes.
• Investigate potential security incidents and elevate threats appropriately.
