Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a driven Business Applications Support Engineer Intern to join the Business Applications Support team in Birmingham, AL. The role offers hands-on exposure to ITIL, IT service management, and application support while shadowing senior engineers.

Based at the Birmingham headquarters, interns will work onsite and gain practical experience in incident resolution, stakeholder communications, and automated process improvement using low/no code platforms.

Qualifications

Pursuing a BS degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Interest in IT service management practices and application support.
Basic scripting or programming knowledge is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Participate in application support processes and understand incident resolution.
Engage in stakeholder communication and coordinate with teams.
Identify bottlenecks and escalate to the appropriate groups.
Assist with incident resolution to meet SLAs.
Use ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for ticketing and tracking.
Leverage GenAI tools for troubleshooting and monitoring tasks.
Create and maintain user guides and support documentation.
Contribute to small enhancements or fixes as part of learning.
