Job summary

Indigo IT, LLC, an award‑winning IT consulting and services company, seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer Lead to drive vulnerability management and RMF/SA&A across Windows and MacOS endpoints. You will develop security measures, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with FISMA/NIST standards.

The role requires strong leadership, advanced cybersecurity knowledge, and experience coordinating with senior leadership on risk and information assurance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience including network, hardware, and software security.
• Experience with compliance testing, identification and resolution of cybersecurity issues, and remediation strategies.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology; or 10 years of equivalent experience.
• One or multiple certifications – CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security Analytics Expert.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF continuous monitoring activities and SA&A efforts.
• Perform conformance testing to ensure systems meet baselines.
• Develop SOPs for secure building/testing/deployment of software packages.
• Create auditable evidence of security measures and provide reports to leadership.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessment, remediation, and VA testing with the team.
• Advise leadership on information assurance posture and risk.
• Develop and improve internal processes to enhance security posture.
