TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer for a hybrid role in Irving, TX, focused on PKI and security operations within an airline industry client. The position emphasizes independent contribution, threat detection, and end-to-end security engineering across enterprise and OT environments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cybersecurity or security engineering experience.
  • Experience owning and delivering security projects independently.
  • Strong understanding of security operations, threat detection, investigation, and incident analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including: KQL query development, detection rule creation, dashboard development, security investigations.
  • Experience managing vulnerability remediation and security findings through resolution.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and drive solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand the broader security picture and work as a trusted engineering partner.

*Location:* Irving, TX (Hybrid - 3 days onsite Tuesday-Thursday)

*Our airline industry client is seeking an experienced *Cybersecurity Engineer* to join a highly visible security engineering team responsible for protecting critical enterprise and operational environments. This role is ideal for a security professional who enjoys solving complex security challenges, working independently, and contributing as a key technical resource across multiple security initiatives.

While exposure to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technologies is valuable, this is not a dedicated PKI engineering role. Candidates with strong cybersecurity engineering experience who understand foundational PKI concepts and can quickly learn new technologies are encouraged to apply.

*What You'll Do*

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
