Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites motivated students to explore cybersecurity for critical military systems. Interns will research cyber resilience across air, sea, ground and undersea platforms, collaborating with industry, academia, and government.

You will work on operational software solutions, cyber systems engineering, analytics, and AI/ML for cyber, learning to design and test secure systems while gaining exposure to real national security challenges.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Experience in at least one listed categories (Software Solutions, Cyber Systems Engineering, Cyber Analytics, AI/ML for Cyber)
• GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance at start date and Top-Secret clearance eventually

Responsibilities

• Research cyber resilience for military platforms
• Collaborate with industry, academia and government
• Develop and test cybersecurity capabilities for various platforms
• Give technical briefings and presentations on cybersecurity topics
• Identify capability gaps and prototype solutions in multidisciplinary teams
