Job summary

DirectViz Solutions, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer II to support DoD-compliant cybersecurity operations. The role focuses on system hardening, vulnerability management, STIG implementation, and remediation across enterprise environments with Windows and Linux platforms.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in cybersecurity or related field, 5+ years of professional experience, and an active Secret clearance or higher, plus IAT II certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Cyber Operations, Cyber Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Certification: one or more IAT II (CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP).
• 5+ years of full-time experience in system hardening, including STIG implementation and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation using ACAS and DoD security guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform system hardening on Windows and Linux in line with DoD requirements.
• Implement and maintain STIGs across environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments with ACAS and prioritize remediation.
• Apply vendor patches for Linux and Windows.
• Support compliance initiatives and continuous monitoring efforts.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and remediation actions.
• Collaborate with sysadmins, network engineers, and cybersecurity teams.
