Job summary

DirectViz Solutions, LLC seeks a Network Security Engineer III to design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise networks in DoD environments. Must hold an active SECRET clearance and experience with STIGs, ACAS, and Cisco devices.

The role requires hands-on network engineering, vulnerability remediation, and collaboration with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and operations teams to ensure secure and reliable services. Strong packet analysis skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Cyber Operations, Cyber Engineering, Information System, Information Technology, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics with CS concentration, or equivalent.
• A minimum of one of the following certifications: CASP+ CE or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP or GCED or GCIH or CCSP.
• Secret clearance is required.
• Experience designing, implementing, and enforcing security controls on networks, hardware, software.
• Experience with STIG implementation and vulnerability assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and related devices.
• Perform network hardening per DoD cybersecurity requirements and STIGs.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS and assist with remediation.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, switching, and performance across enterprise environments.
• Use packet analysis tools like Wireshark and tcpdump to diagnose issues.
• Support system accreditation and continuous monitoring activities.
• Maintain network documentation and security findings.
